The Lyons Planning Commission consists of 12 members, who of which
reside inside the city limits but within 3 miles of the city. The
Planning Commission meets once a month to deal with important issues
that are intimately related to:
- land use, including economic development
- community revitalization
- environmental protection
- and land preservation.
Through land use planning, jurisdictions work with residents and other
stakeholders through a collaborative process the Planning Commission is
to articulate how the community will look and function in the future.
